For busy people who care about the next 7 generations
Welcome to the place where we pledge to switch social media time for causes we care about.
Big tech takes about 2.5 hours of your attention every day. We’re taking some of that time and dopamine back, and pouring it into causes that matter.
We have one world. A glorious, resilient, incredibly precious home. And we need ordinary people to activate.
Pick a number of hours a month you can actually stand behind on a bad week, not a good one. One hour is a real answer. Ten is a real answer. It goes on the wall with your name against it.
One email a month asking whether you actually did the thing. Unsubscribe in one click.
The first goal
0 / 100
Dopamine activists
A hundred people who have put a number and their name to it. That is the point at which this stops being an idea somebody had and starts being a thing that exists.
One square each, coloured by the cause that person pledged to. The empty ones are the point.
Not hours anybody promised.
How far this travels beyond the people who already know us.
A company or a council publishes what it is committing to for the next seven generations, not this financial year.
The United Nations have “strategically retreated”
On 2 September 2026 the UN said out loud that we are going to sail past the 1.5°C limit the world agreed in Paris. The plan now is to overshoot it and try to cool the planet back down afterwards. The Associated Press called it a strategic retreat. Retreat to where, though. Read what the UN said.
This is the week it stopped being somebody else’s job. Nobody is coming with a bigger plan, so the plan is us, an hour at a time.
Stuck for what to do with them
The hour is not the hard part. Deciding what to do with it is the hard part, so we already did that. Every one of these is real, specific, and finishable before the kettle goes cold twice. Ignore the lot and do your own thing if you would rather.
Pick a cause
Log it whenever it happens. A Tuesday lunchtime is as good as a Sunday. Bring something back with you though, even if it is only a photo on your phone, because an hour with proof against it counts for more than an hour we all have to take on faith.
Make your pledge above first, then this opens up.
Everything you have logged
You already found the hour.
You gave it to a slot machine.
The wall
Every name, every hour, every bit of proof.
